Best Beginnings is governed by a board of directors who serve three-year terms. Committees are chaired by a board member and may include individuals not on the board.

- Neisha Jones – Vice President of People & Culture, Alaska Sealife Center
- Jena Frawner – Owner, Anchorage Wolverines
- Stefanie O’Brien – Director of External Affairs and Communication, RuralCAP
- Shanice Lawton – Equity and Community Engagement Specialist, Anchorage School District
- Esther Pitts – Chief Community Impact Officer, Mat-Su Health Foundation

Board and committee meetings are held once a month for 1-2 hours, with an option to attend either in-person in Anchorage or via Zoom. An annual full-day retreat is held once per year (typically in January).
