It’s Time for Bed by Ceporah Mearns (Toddler, Preschool)
Siasi will do anything to delay going to bed on time. Why go brush your teeth or put on your pajamas when you could run with the caribou, swim with the fish, and howl with the wolves? It’s just so much more fun to play with all different kinds of Arctic animals than all those boring bedtime chores. Find it at the Library
Again! by Emily Gravett (Preschool)
A young dragon doesn’t want to go to bed. Instead, he wants his mom to read him his favorite story… over and over and over again. Mama dragon is getting a little bit frustrated that her young dragon won’t go to sleep. When the young dragon has a tantrum, it proves to be a little dangerous because dragons breathe fire. The Best Bed for Me by Gaia Cornwall (Toddler, Preschool)
The little one from this story thinks of all the different ways and places that animals sleep. Though their mothers want them in their nice, comfy bed, with a soft pillow, they wonder if it’s really as snuggly as curling up like a pig in the mud or hanging upside down like a bat. It’s So Quiet: A Not-Quite-Going-to-Bed-Book by Sherri Duskey Rinker (Preschool, School Age)
When it’s time for bed, a little mouse just can’t get to sleep because it is TOO QUIET! Or is it? The nighttime darkness is full of sounds, from croaking frogs to the howls of distant coyotes. The more that mouse listens, the more he starts to wonder if maybe he’d like a little just a little more quiet after all. Find it at the Library
