Thankfully, children have a knack for picking up words and meanings from every day activities. Often a love of words comes from a love of something special. We all know that kid who can proudly tell you the name of every dinosaur or describe how something works in detail. This mastery of vocabulary is vital to new readers – it’s easier for children to learn to read when they already know tons of words.
